I'll begin with the only good part; the food - once it finally arrived - was very good! That is where the positives end. I imagine the following experience could be attributed to us arriving at 8:05 pm when they close at 9pm, but otherwise there is no excuse for this poor experience. Don't get me wrong, the waitresses were very friendly, but it took 10 minutes before our waitress even introduced herself, she never asked for our drink order, then didn't come back to take our food order for 15 minutes!! In addition, they didn't have a main dish, admitted it would take 30 minutes to make the fried chicken, but STILL took 20 minutes to bring out the food. We didn't get our food until 9:05 pm...but it did taste good. Nevertheless, I will never go back!
Great restaurant find! In all our years visiting Smuggler's Notch we never stopped at this restaurant and boy were we glad we did! What a great restaurant. We called in 16 pp hoping they could accommodate us and they were more than happy to and minutes later when we arrived our table was ready and we were greeted by the nicest waitress who was not only accurate but attentive to all our needs. food came out at same time, piping hot, beautifully presented and DELICIOUS - every meal, every bite! Highly recommend a visit!!
One of my favorite places to eat when visiting Vermont. Everything on the menu is delicious but I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy and their homemade corn beef hash.
4 of us stopped for lunch on driving tour day. All were pleased with food and excellent service. Soup, pasta salad, sandwiches and sweet potato fries were all above average.
Service was friendly and our server went above and beyond to make us happy. The (breakfast) food was creative and deliciously executed. The portion sizes were enormous.
