This was not our first time riding but our first time in VT. Christina was lovely. Very pleasant and a great guide. Ben and (Gray) Goose were excellent rides. The trail was muddy as I guess they had a lot of rain last week, but the horses knew how to handle it. The ride was very good, the price was fair. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again.
Had a great time.
I still cannot believe that the staff at LaJoie can speak to their customers in such a rude fashion and call them dishonest and a liar !!!!!!!!!
Fortunately or Unfortunately it did rain heavy where we were put up; I called 3 hours in advance to cancel and the staff refuses to take in the cancellation as according to them it was'nt raining at their end!!!!
We had the best time riding horses - the first time for my six-year old and ten-year old. We were visiting my mom up the road and thought it would be fun to go for a ride. Not only was the staff fun and lovely, but there were many other sweet animals for the kids to visit with (goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, chickens, a bunny, even an adorable pug puppy!)
DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION EVER!!!!!!
I call the conceirge and clarified and they mentioned that they never received any call from LaJoie and neither do they have anyone by the name the lady from LaJoie mentioned to me having spoken to at the hotel!!!!!
The staff went on to calling me (the customer) as dishonest and a liar and said they had contacted my hotel conceirge and a lady at the conceirge mentioned that it was'nt raining!!!!
The staff was professional and helped both my kids feel right at home on the saddle. We enjoyed a nice, hour-long circuit around the property, enjoying the trails, wide open fields, and even seeing a large family of wild turkeys enjoying a quiet walk in the woods. I would definitely recommend this for novice riders, it was a safe and very fun experience!
We were visiting VT the first time and decided to add the horse rides to the many activities we wanted to do during our stay. We were asked to provide the credit card details and make a reservation in advance and also were given to understand that we could cancel a few hours in advance due to the weather if need be.
I would NEVER vist them or wish to give them any business ever myself or through reference!!!!
We took the sleigh ride through the farm. We were out about an hour. The land was absolutely beautiful, as was the horses pulling the sleigh. Being from North Carolina and rarely seeing significant amounts of snow, this was the perfect way to experience Vermont. Certainly a highlight of our trip. Our guide's were very gracious and allowed us to take numerous photos. Dress warmly though...I thought my gloves were up to the task. I was wrong. But there were extra blankets on hand, so no problem.
